Blizzard 2011
Feb. 1st, 2011 06:12 pmWow! If you've looked at the weather today, you've seen about a third of the country is under a huge winter storm. Well, the entire lower pennisula of Michigan, where I live, is under a blizzard warning until tomorrow night! Thankfully I've got a stack of books and some cross stitching to keep me amused if necessary, but I am going to be upset if the power goes out. I hate being cold, and it makes my asthma a real problem. But hey, it's an adventure, right? :)
It's coming down hard right now. The main road right by us is almost impassable. (We live in the country-burbs) I haven't heard any planes go over for a couple of hours now, which is odd since we're about a 1/4 mile from the airport. We haven't had such a quiet stretch since 9/11. The funny thing is, live that close to an airport for 20+ years and when you notice the planes is when they AREN'T there. But I'm rambling. It's exciting and I will take pictures later on. Now where's that yardstick?
